Variety reports that Tom Cruise will produce and is likely to star in the serial killer thriller The Monster of Florence.
The film is about eight double homicides believed to have been committed single-handedly between 1968 and 1985 in and around Florence. This is based on a true story, and has been made into a film once before in the 80s.
The script will be penned by Chris McQuarrie, who also wrote the screenplay for Valkyrie. Tom is waiting to see how much he likes the script to see if he'll star in it.
