More Rambo's Coming Soon?

Movie Reviews

If you thought Sylvester Stallone was done with Rambo, think again. He might wanna bite his tongue because he told reporters last month that he will not making any more Rambo films because it "can't go any further."

He might have had a change of heart because he told British talk-show host Jonathan Ross, "I'd love to go back to Rambo again. You don't get to play that kind of character very often. At first it was stereotyped but now I'm really proud to have done it. It's timely. Ten years ago it wouldn't have been right."

Oh please, no more Rambo’s. Let’s just have the memory of the last 4. We don’t need to overkill everything people!

David Morell the creator of Rambo recently commented that Rambo stood in the rain to cleanse his soul. Though we like the action scenes in the movie, not many people know about Rambo motivations. Do check out an interesting new book called "RAMBO CODE: Your Survival Guide" which talks about Rambo motivation. In my knowledge this is the first book that takes inspiration from the words and inner pyschology of Rambo, and to adapt those lessons in our lives so we can become unstoppable. The reason why Rambo has such a huge impact on movie audiences worldwide is because he represents the indomitable spirit of man - the survival instinct we are born with to help us get ahead in life. It is the primal instinct we are all born with to survive. And Rambo being in touch with that uncivilised part of his being is able to unleash the animal fury deep inside, which is the flip side to our being. I feel there is some profound truth about the character which tug at our heart string, and that is why it has survived the test of time. I think as Stallone come full circle in his life and films with Rocky and Rambo, it is time to look back and study philosophy and Survival Principles from his life and films. Stallonism is an idea whose time has come. Check out the website www.stallonism.com.
