Rachel Weisz is getting shit from director Rob Cohen for not coming back to star in the third installment of the Mummy. Rob says he got an angry phone call from Rachel's agent, saying she wouldn't play the mother of a 21 year old. So he figured she thought they had made her character too old.
Rachel rebutted by saying it was a location factor. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was to shoot in China for five months, and she didn't feel comfortable leaving her two-year-old son alone for that long.
Clearly the what everyone's missing here is that Rachel wants nothing to do with The Mummy anymore! How many more of that movie do we really need?!
