Vanity Fair Cancels Oscar Party

Oscars

Oh No! Things are not looking good for the Oscars. The most important party of Oscar night has been canceled due to the outcome of the writer's strike.

Vanity Fair magazine has decided to not have their annual Oscar bash this year on Oscar night because they don't feel it's appropriate.

"After much consideration, and in support of the writers and everyone else affected by this strike, we have decided that this is not the appropriate year to hold our annual Oscar party," the magazine said in a statement. "We want to congratulate all of this year's nominees and we look forward to hosting our 15th Oscar party next year."

The Grammy Awards have received a waiver but its still unclear whether the Oscars will get a waiver from the WGA.

The Oscars will take place on February 24.
