Movies Move Out of Hollywood

Lately the trend in shooting movies has moved out of tinsel town in into small town U.S.A. Money is always the reason, and it's no different in this situation.

Connecticut has become the number one location to shoot film because of the 30 percent state tax credit for movie production that took effect on July 1, 2006.

Studios are also attracted to the wealth of historical urban cityscapes, parks, and coastline in recent months. Some movies being shot for release this year are "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2", "Reservation Road", "Old Dogs", and "Revolutionary Road", starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Something I don't think they took into account? The weather. Today's weather report is 37 and cloudy. Better bundle up!
