'21' To Make Splash In Theatres

Kate Bosworth

If you were a big fan of the best selling book “Bringing Down The House” by Ben Mezrich, then you’re probably counting the days until the movie adaptation hits a theatre near you.

21 is the true story of the most brightest young minds in the country and how they took Vegas for millions. Last night the stars of the film Kate Bosworth and Jim Sturgess attended a special screening hosted by the Cinema Society and Calvin Klein.

The film directed by Robert Luketic also stars Kevin Spacey and Laurence Fishburne.

The plot entails Ben Campbell who is a shy, brilliant M.I.T. student who needs to pay school tuition. He is recruited to join a group of the school's most gifted students that head to Vegas every weekend armed with fake identities and the know-how to turn the odds at blackjack in their favor.

With unorthodox math professor and stats genius Micky Rosa leading the way, they've cracked the code. By counting cards and employing an intricate system of signals, the team can beat the casinos.

Seduced by the money, the Vegas lifestyle, and by his smart and sexy teammate, Jill Taylor(Ben), begins to push the limits. Though counting cards isn't illegal, the stakes are high, and the challenge becomes not only keeping the numbers straight, but to stay one step ahead of the casinos' menacing enforcer: Cole Williams.

The film doesn’t hit theatres until March 28, 2008 but you can get a sneak peak of the film below.
