J.K. Rowling has gone a little overboard with the lawsuits. The Harry Potter author was at court again this morning, and this time, it was to protect her family's privacy.
She and her husband were there to win a ban against future publication of photos taken of her son David without his consent. They brought the case last year after a photo was taken of the couple pushing their 18-month-old in a stroller.

J.K. Rowling wants to be sure she's the only one making money off her Harry Potter empire. So she's suing the publisher of a print version of the popular Potter fan website, The Harry Potter Lexicon. What's funny about the lawsuit is that Rowling admits to using the website to fact-check her own work! But she says making a print version out of it is a copyright infringement.

It's hard to imagine that J.K. Rowling once thought about suicide, considering how great her life is now. But things weren't always rosy for the Harry Potter author, who battled deep depression for years. Before she became famous for Harry, she was a single mom living on welfare. She had just gotten divorced from her husband, and her friends had to pay her security deposit on her apartment.
