Jake Gyllenhaal to Star in Prince of Persia?

There's already been about a half dozen actors rumored to be the next Prince of Persia and the latest buzz is that Jake Gyllenhaal has been offered the part.

Walt Disney Pictures and producer Jerry Bruckheimer reportedly offered Jakey the role of Dastan in Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, but he hasn't accepted yet.

Last week there were rumors that Orlando Bloom was going to get the role but his rep denied it. Orlando would make a better prince than Jakey, wouldn't he? What do you guys think?

How will these guys pass for a Persian prince? This movie could be great, but everyone who wants to see this movie wants a real Persian to play the part. Pleeeease get it right and stop thinking about the money!!

What is going here?? Orlando, Zac and Jake are NOT believable princes! If they do not get the lead role (the prince) absolutely right, then this movie will have such a short term value, and will only make a quick buck at the box office in terms of first week sales! This movie has the potential to be an epic which will be watched in 30 years time!, everyone is screaming of a PERSIAN PRINCE, give the people who will watch the movie what they want!!
