Nicole Kidman’s new film 'The Golden Compass' hit theatres this past weekend and it took the top spot. Unfortunately, coming in at #1 didn’t satisfy studio bosses who expected the movie to open with #30-$40 million. Instead, Nicole’s new movie brought in $26.1 million.
The Disney film ‘Enchanted” took home the prize for second place bringing in $10.7 million. ‘This Christmas’ landed in third with $5 million.
