Dreamgirls Is On A Seoul Train

Eddie Murphy

Dreamgirls is hitting the big stage, but not in a New York way. It's headed to Seoul, South Korea in a $10 million revival.   John Breglio, the theater lawyer and producer who oversees the estate of Dreamgirls creator Michael Bennett, has struck a deal with the Seoul Theater Association, which will present the show in South Korea and make a $4 million investment in the production. Myung-Soo Park, who produced the revival of A Chorus Line, will oversee production in Seoul.

So why Seoul? Because they want to make sure they work out all the kinks of the show there, before bringing it to NYC in 2009.  Sad!
