Dreamgirls Auditions Postponed

Auditions for the lead roles in a new stage version of the movie Dreamgirls has been put on hold out of respect for Jennifer Hudson and her family after the awful news of the deaths of her mother, brother, and nephew. Open castings were scheduled to begin on November 1st, but theater bosses thought it was a good idea to postpone them for the end of the month.

Dreamgirls Is On A Seoul Train

Dreamgirls is hitting the big stage, but not in a New York way. It's headed to Seoul, South Korea in a $10 million revival. John Breglio, the theater lawyer and producer who oversees the estate of Dreamgirls creator Michael Bennett, has struck a deal with the Seoul Theater Association, which will present the show in South Korea and make a $4 million investment in the production.
