Following the success of his movie "The Great Debaters," Denzel Washington is giving $1 million to Wiley College to kickstart their debate team.
Wiley's 1930's all-black team was featured in the flick, going all the way to the finals against Harvard. The movie opens Christmas day.

Oprah Winfrey and Denzel Washington have teamed up as producers and directors of a new drama called "The Great Debaters." Denzel Washington directed the film and also stars as a real-life coach who leads a small black college debating team to the national championships at Harvard.
On the red carpet, Washington opted to keep his politics to himself, but most of his young cast stated they share Winfrey's hopes for the first African-American president in U.S....

American Gangster" doesn’t hit theatres until November 2nd but this movie is creating buzz with its Oscar winning cast and hopes to actually take home an Oscar. Critics are comparing this movie to “Scarface" or "the Harlem Godfather". The film directed by Ridley Scott explores America during the 1970s when drug lord Frank Lucas ruled the streets.
