Hugh Jackman Heading Back to Broadway

The world's sexiest man is reportedly heading back to Broadway. According to sources at Fox News, Hugh Jackman is going to be playing Harry Houdini in a new musical on Broadway.
Fox News says that Jackman is already at work on the magic routines that will be part of the musical penned by Danny Elfman and two-time Tony nominee David Yazbek. There has been no official casting announced for the production.

Jane Fonda To Return To Broadway

Jane Fonda is headed back to Broadway 40 years after making her debut. She’ll star in 33 Variations by Moises Kaufman. Fonda made her Broadway debut in 1960 in a short-lived play There Was a Little Girl.

Lauren Graham To Star In Guys And Dolls

Another ex-TV star is headed to Broadway. Lauren Graham from Gilmore Girls has landed the lead role of Miss Adelaide in the production.
She joins Oliver Platt, who has just been cast as male lead Nathan Detriot. The show is set to begin March 1st at the Nederlander Theater in New York.

Dreamgirls Auditions Postponed

Auditions for the lead roles in a new stage version of the movie Dreamgirls has been put on hold out of respect for Jennifer Hudson and her family after the awful news of the deaths of her mother, brother, and nephew. Open castings were scheduled to begin on November 1st, but theater bosses thought it was a good idea to postpone them for the end of the month.

Matthew Broderick Heads Back To Broadway

Matthew Broderick is following the trend of headed to Broadway, except this won’t be his first time around. He’ll be hitting the stage next Spring with the revival of The Philanthropist, a comedy by English playwright Christopher Hampton.
This is Matthew’s first return to Broadway since 2005, with the revival of The Odd Couple.
The Philanthropist first debuted on Broadway in 1971, and returns April 26th at the American Airlines Theater.

For all the criticism Katie Holmes got prior to her Broadway debut, she's really proved people wrong! All My Sons was the top-grossing Broadway play for the week ending in September 28th.

The Broadway phenomenon continues! The latest Hollywood film to be brought to the stage is American Psycho. Producers are working on the adaptation right now starring New York's upper east side Patrick Bateman.
