Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Gets A Hollywood Welcome In Prague

Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
This story is for all you Narnia fanatics. We know you’re out there since the movie is taking over the world.

Although the film fell short of industry expectations, “Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” has grossed $131.9 million here in the states and $233.4 million worldwide.

No wonder so many studios these days are setting up more movie premieres outside of the United States. Our economy can be a big factor to this outcome, there’s more money to be made these days in Europe and Asia. Let's not forget that their money is worth more than our dollar. That’s probably the reason why the cast of “Narnia” hit Eastern Europe for its film release with a Hollywood style red carpet affair. What happened to Hollywood and its glamorous premieres?

Last night, Ben Barnes, Mark Johnson, Skandar Keynes, William Moseley, Andrew Adamson, Anna Popplewell and Georgie Henley came out for the film premiere in Prague. Fans lined up on the street for hours to get a glimpse of their favorite stars in the fantasy flick.

The film is based on Prince Caspian, the second published novel in C. S. Lewis' children's fantasy series, The Chronicles of Narnia. The four Pevensie children return to Narnia to aid Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) in his struggle for the throne against his corrupt uncle, King Miraz (Sergio Castellitto).

If you haven’t seen the film check out the “Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” movie trailer below.

Please stop referring to Prince Caspian as the "second book" (which you've done twice), it's not, it's the third, the very first book in the series is a prequel to Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe. Thanks.

Let´s not forget the fact that pre-production and a lot of the filming of Prince Caspian was done in and around Prague during 2006-2007. Only 3-4 months of production was actually done in New Zealand, and some of it in Slovenia during the summer of 2007. So I guess it´s a nice thing to do to pay a little tribute to the city and country that hosted the cast and crew for such a substantial amount of time.
